Extortion for Parking at Piarco Airport Carpark
This was brought to my attention by a family member who was asked to pay to get a park in the main car park at Piarco.
Hear how these scamps work. As you approach the car park before you get to the booth to pay the islander guards tell you that there are no spaces.
But then they ask you to wait. They then offer to call someone on the inside to see if a space is available. They appear to speak to someone and then ask for 100 dollars. You pay and you get a park. Other than this you go to the temporary car park.
Because people feel safer in the regular car park they pay.
Now why do islanders who are guards doing this. They should be sent back. And in any case are guard jobs allowed to islanders under caricom arrangements.
