Lights at Tortuga Recreation Ground
The Ministry of Public Utilities via T&TEC continues to excel in their Public Lighting Programme having already visited many communities across the length and breadth in both urban and rural Trinidad and Tobago. Under the patronage of the Honorable Minister of Public Utilities Nizam Baksh and his cabinet colleague Member of Parliament for Tabaquite Surujrattan Rambachan, T&TEC commissioned the newly installed lights at the ‘Tortuga Recreation Ground’ on Tuesday 8th April 2014.
A number of speakers who graced the podium in addressing the impressive turnout, attested to the diligence and hard work of Prime Minister Kamla Persad Bissessar along with her cabinet, their MP and councilors. In their allotted times,
Minister Baksh, MP Rambachan and Chairman of the Couva/Tabaquite/Talparo Regional Corporation Henry Awong, reaffirmed to the many residents and patrons of the Tortuga ground, that the Partnership Government would continue to work in their best interest, development did not merely mean skyscrapers in Port of Spain, but it meant giving the people simple amenities such as proper roads, 24/7 pipe borne water and lighting such as those installed in the hub of their community activity.
